Application Process

We’re here to make your path to summer camp as exciting and stress-free as possible. Here’s how it all works…

The following process is for Traditional Summer Camp. For the City Camp process click here.

1 - Choose Your Application

Start by completing our online application form and selecting your application method:

Direct Placement Application

2 - Choose Your Program

Select your camp style preference:

City Camp
Traditional Summer Camp

If you're not sure which camp to choose at this stage don’t worry we can help you make that decision further down the line!

3 - Pay Your Application Fee

Choose your payment option:

Pay in full, unlock a big discount!
Or split into 3 instalments, starting with a £49 Stage 1 deposit or $99 if applying from outside of the UK and EU.

Simple and flexible — your choice!

4 - Complete Your Skilled Summers Application

We’ll guide you through setting up your official Skilled Summers profile.

Before your Skilled Summers interview, make sure to:

Fill out application
Upload a photo album
Include 2 references

5 - Your Skilled Summers Interview

This is a friendly 45-minute chat to get to know you better — nothing to stress about!

What happens next?

Pass ✅ = You move forward
Not this time ❌ = We’ll refund your application fee minus a small admin fee: (£10 if applying from the UK or EU or $20 if applying from the rest of the world)

6 - Submit a Video On Your Application

Once you’ve passed, it’s time to:

Submit a short 2 minute video highlighting why you feel you would be a good fit for camp

We guide you how to do this to make your video stand out against the rest!

7 - Get Matched With a Camp

We provide a personalised placement service, matching you with a camp based on your skills, experience, and preferences.
Please note:
On the rare occasion that we cannot place you with a summer camp you will receive a full refund of the stage 1 and 2 application fee.

8 - Camp Interviews & Hiring

If a camp is interested in your profile, they’ll invite you to interview.

You may be hired on the spot
Or hear back within a couple of days

Not successful right away? No problem — we’ll keep matching you until you secure a placement.

9 - You've Been Hired

Congratulations — you're going to camp!

Next steps:

Upload your camp contract
We’ll process your DS-2019 visa paperwork (starting January 1st of the camp year)
Pay your Stage 3 fee if you’ve chosen instalments
