To help fully prepare you for an incredible summer at camp with Skilled Summers, you will be required to attend a pre-camp orientation.
What Is A Pre-Camp Orientation?
Run by the Skilled Summers team, our pre-camp orientations are informative, fun and give you the opportunity to meet other applicants who are preparing to head out to camp just like you. It is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask any final questions you may have.
The main purpose of the orientation is to ensure you are fully informed of the nature of the J1 exchange programme and what is expected of you whilst taking part, including a thorough understanding of your visa and its restrictions.
Attendance at an orientation is compulsory. In order to take part in the J-1 visa exchange program, it is a Department of State requirement that all participants attend an orientation. If you do not attend, you will not be able to take part in the program.
Details of the pre-camp orientations will be given after placement, including date and location. We also offer online orientations.
